I have always been a fan of British comedies.......back in the days there was Mind Your Language, Allo Allo and Mr. Bean which had me captivated......never got around to checking out some other ones like Are You Being Served or Yes Minister........

well anyways....fast forward to present times.....there is all this buzz here in the US about the premiere of The Office....this is the US version based on the hit BBC series by the same name......managed to get my hands on the first season of UK version.......though I did not get around to watching the pilot episode of the US version.....i did see the first two episodes of the UK version........that show rocks......the dry wit...the sarcasm....its something that can rarely be created on American sitcoms....and it seems that the US version did not...though it would be interesting to see how the American audiences react to a single camera documentary type of show in prime time ( as one reviewer on IMDB mentioned).......so if you can get your hands on the UK version.....do watch it......and I am going to try and watch the US version without any prejudice and see where it stands.....

In other news......this obsession with British humor continues.......slowly building my Monty Python collection and thanks to ebay I managed to lay my hands on this...see the first item there......bought 2 sets..one of them is a sealed on in pristine condition.....some of the sets are supposed to have randomly inserted cards autographed by none other than the genius himself.....DNA....shine on you crazy diamond.....can't wait for April 29th......*grin*

Two things made me really passionate about Volkswagens,

1) The fact that in the 1970's my grandfather had a white beetle....those ones with the rear mounted air-cooled 1600cc engines
2)Chacha showing me the ad for the GTI in the TIME magazine....this was way back when TIME did not have the asian edition........I was just amazed......

In time when I could afford it I got myself a used VW Jetta.....my first ever car...sure miss it now......but then I wanted to move on...or rather move up....the automatic transmission just did not go well with me.......and then I heard about the .:R32.....

Sure I had the option of going in for a Mitsubishi EVO or a Subaru WRX Sti......I even test drove the Subaru.....but with the .:R32 it was love at first sight (and then drive)........

Just today I came across this article which gets across the emotions of a Volkswagen enthusiast.........read on.....

R32 Versus the World
